About
Hi, I’m Mart Eugen Gevero, an IT student majoring in Data and Networking. While my main focus is on networks, security, and client/server applications, I’m passionate about much more. I also dive into web development and embedded systems, particularly IoT. With 1 year of experience in building embedded systems, I’ve worked on projects like an automated incubator using Arduino Mega, which earned recognition from my college. I’ve also worked with technologies like HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, and I enjoy building web applications using the Flask framework with MySQL or PostgreSQL databases. Whether it’s configuring networks from scratch or deploying systems via VPS, I love solving problems end-to-end. I even have four months of freelancing experience in web scraping during my college years.
I’m currently active in DevCon Bukidnon, the Philippines' largest tech community, where I get to share and learn with fellow developers and tech enthusiasts. One of my most exciting projects was a wave height monitoring system that we developed and deployed as a distributed system, complete with desktop and Android platforms.
Outside of tech, I’m a big fan of music and documentaries. I play the acoustic and electric guitar, drums, and bass. I also love reading, especially self-help books, and one of my favorite authors is Fyodor Dostoevsky. I’m always up for learning something new, whether it's picking up a new instrument, new tech, hiking, volunteering at animal shelters, or meeting new people. I thrive on challenges and enjoy working in teams to create something meaningful.
My current goal is to become a Senior DevOps Engineer in the next 3 to 5 years. My mission is to create accessible and innovative tech solutions that make a positive impact on people’s lives.
